Stuart Ackman started his career in commercial real estate in 1986. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the business including seller and landlord representation, tenant representation, land brokerage, built to suit projects, sales and leasing. His work has often focused on creative, hard to solve projects with difficult schedules or tight budget requirements. He has handled large multi-tenant leasing including Baker Technology Plaza, Southtech Plaza, International Market Square, and the 15 Building. Stu has represented many tech and entrepreneurial businesses such as Kilowatt Financial, Accounting Resource Group, Cheapo Records, Oh Baby, thedatabank, Lumidata, and Small World Learning Center. One of Stuart’s first transactions was representing Mid-Continent Engineering in its acquisition of a large manufacturing building in NE Minneapolis. Dalco Enterprises has done many projects with Stuart including two build to suit projects (New Brighton & La Crosse, WI), sale of a building in Minneapolis and advising on the facilities in Rochester and Duluth. He has restaurant and retail experience, having brought the Good Earth Restaurants to Minnesota, and co-owning Arafina. In 2014 and 2015 Stuart was the listing agent for a retail property in Wayzata. He successfully repositioned and re-tenanted the property located at 755 E., Wayzata Boulevard.
His focus is on careful market and financial analysis, providing creative solutions along with skilled, personable negotiations and transaction services. His work experience includes Garfield Clark & Associations, Grubb & Ellis, The C. Chase Company and Mohr Partners, blending large full service companies with small boutique companies.
He was educated at Breck School in Minneapolis and holds a BA degree in History from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA. A world traveler, Stuart has been deeply involved in the United Nations Association of Minnesota and the United Nations Association of the USA (now part of The UN Foundation) as well as a variety of organizations such as The Family Partnership, CoreNet Global, Fox & Hounds Breakfast Club, and Stonebay Townhouse Association.
He holds a broker’s license from the State of Minnesota.
